This is a family friendly pub with plenty facilities to keep the children occupied – this was our first visit but I would highly recommend.

We had our lunch at the Wheatsheaf Farm, Woolsington. After lunch, the kids played with Baby B in their under 5’s play area and then headed out to the outdoor park.

For lunch, we decided to go for the carvery, but there is a general menu also.

You get a lunch or breakfast option for the carvery depending on the time.

Prices vary for the carvery depending on what size plate you choose from. You can also add an extra yorkshire and pigs and blankets for £1.50.

For meat, you get the option of Gammon, Turkey and Beef.

There’s a selection of vegetables and sauces to pick from.

There is also an kids menu with plenty of option from being able to pick small or large meals, pick n mix.

Farmhouses inn state “We’re big on value and portions” and I agree with this, as the kids had the smaller portion pasta which was a decent size.

On the back of the kids menu, they have puzzles and colouring sections to keep them occupied whilst waiting for food.

If you are signed up to their emails, you will also get the opportunity to receive kids eat for free over the holidays – which is always popular here.

They also have a great choice of desserts such as a selection of ice-cream, cakes and much more.

They also have baby facilities such as changing room, microwave, and highchairs.

Under 5’s Play Area:

This is a small indoor play area for under 5’s.

Also had a TV on the wall too but was not available to use on the day.

Play area for the older children:

There is also an little arcade area with air hockey, machines to win a prize every-time and much more. You will need change for this section.

Outdoor Play Area:

There is a small outdoor play area with a slide, but there is also plenty of outdoor space for the kids to run around.

They also have outdoor seating which means you can sit facing the park and watch the children whilst having a drink especially when it is sunny.

There is also an premier inn, right next door if you are not from around here and may want somewhere to stay North East based.

You can find your local Farmhouse inn – near you here.
