Two new outdoor play areas are coming soon to Adventure Valley.
County Durham tourist attraction, Adventure Valley, has invested £300,000 into its facilities ready for Easter half-term. The new play areas are to be built using fully sustainable raw materials in a bid for the adventure park to go greener.
With daily shows, activities every 30 minutes and 6 huge play zones, there will be endless hours of fun this half-term at Adventure Valley.
The investment is to build two new castle-themed outdoor play areas, complete with slides, climbing frames and a mini zip wire. One is suitable for under 5’s and the other for those with children aged 5 and over.
Along with the push to become more sustainable, Adventure valley wanted to replace and refresh the new and exciting play frames to increase the play quality and quantity of the park for more families to enjoy the attraction. The play areas are set to be one of the Durham-based Adventure Park’s biggest investments yet.

Adventure Valley has partnered with Kompan to create a more sustainable play area.
Adventure Valley is looking to go greener and push for sustainability and the new playgrounds will use Kopman’s own raw materials that are “naturally green.” The new play areas are set to be Kopman’s biggest build yet.
Janine Calzini, Co-owner, of Adventure Valley said, “As the investor and owner of Adventure Valley Durham, I am thrilled to announce the investment in two new play frames that are not only fun and exciting but also environmentally friendly.
These new play frames are made from recyclable materials, which aligns with our commitment to environmental sustainability and being a responsible business.
Furthermore, They are excited that they have created separate play frames for children under 5 years old and over 5 years old.
This will ensure that they have something for every age group and provide a safe and age-appropriate play area for the younger children, and challenging and adventurous playground for older children.
They are confident that these new play frames will be a huge hit with visitors of all ages and They can’t wait to see families enjoying them.
It is an honour to be in a position to make this investment and provide such a valuable addition to Adventure Valley Durham.”
Last year Adventure Valley added to their outdoor attractions with a new pony ride which has also been a big hit and used as part of their Winter Wonderland experience as well as being open all year round.
