Christmas shows for all the family 2022

This post features an list of Christmas shows throughout November, December and January. From your traditional pantomime visit to your favourite Christmas films screening and much more.

If we have been gifted or paid for advertising an event, it will state (AD) beforehand.

This is many of the companies we have worked with in the past or present, They may have also been posted into our recommendations group – this could of been by the company themselves or by someone who has enjoyed their event before. 

Also, We try to update our post as regular as possible but please bare in mind – Events may change details, cancel or be sold out during this time.

Pantomime and Production:
23rd November – 8th January: Sleeping Beauty at Gala Durham. Book now

29th November – 24th December: A Town called Christmas at Gala Durham. Book now
3rd December – 7th January: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice returns to cast its magic this Christmas, putting a modern Northern Stage spin on a classic tale. Book now
7th-10th December: Goldilocks and The three bears at Seaham Youth & Community Centre: Book here.
8th – 24th December: Dick Whittington at the exchange. Book now
8th December: A CHRISTMAS CAROL THEATRE at Bowes Museum. (Free for essential carers) – Book here.
9th December – 8th January: Beauty and the Beast Pantomime at Tyne Theatre & Opera House. Book now.
10th December – 18th December: Goldilocks & The three bears at People’s theatre. Book now.
13th – 24th December: A brand new production of Charles Dickens Classic ‘A Christmas Carol’ , a co-production with Northumberland Theatre Company in a unique setting is coming at the former Queen’s Head Hotel – now Alderman Fenwick’s House – in a spectacular Georgian setting. 15th – 24th December: Stanley civic hall, Cinderella. Book now.
15th – 30th December: Alnwick Playhouse, Remarkable robin’s Christmas adventure. Book now
19th November – 8th January:
This Christmas join your favourite nursery rhyme characters at Northern Stage – suitable for under 6’s. Book now
28th and 29th December: festive lunch with panto at Spanish City. Book now.


17th – 22nd January: Goldilocks and the Three Bears at the Playhouse. Book here.

Comedy:
Enjoy a night of fantastic local comedy on Chaophraya’s gorgeous Monument Terrace. Partnered with Felt Nowt Comedy, 1st December: Book now
Screenings/Films:
