109-113 Westgate Rd, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4AG

We were complimentary invited along to the launch of Sleeping beauty at Tyne theatre & Opera house.
Enchanted Entertainment will be bringing 54 magical performances of Sleeping Beauty to the Tyne Theatre and Opera House up til the 3rd January 2020.

The cast, including Matt Pagan from Britain’s Got Talent winning band Collabro as the Prince and comedy star Charlie Richmond as the hilarious silly Jester.

The Tyne theatre opera house is located at the bottom of Westgate road. which is very near the city centre, making it easy to access – with plenty of parking and public transport nearby.

The Grade 1 listed Theatre was built in 1867 and is a truly historic building – just walking around the building brings back history and a story of its own.

They have a bar that will be open and serving drinks and refreshments prior the show and during intervals. They don’t mind you bring your own snacks with you but no hot food.
Bags are checked on arrival, if you have a baby/toddler with you, they have a buggy park at the back of the auditorium Stalls level.
They also have booster seats but they are limited, therefore it is best to ask a member of staff upon arrival.
Their policy for children 18 months or younger classify as babes in arms and will not need a ticket.
The pantomime was greatly choreographed and planned, we loved the outfits of the characters on the show.
They had some great dances though-out with songs you instantly knew and could get involved with. We loved the 12 days of Christmas, Geordie style.

They also had a 3D feature in the show, which was really impressive, the glasses were supplied by sponsors Specsavers for the first time ever at the Tyne Theatre.
They have jokes for all ages which kept everyone engaged and had the full family laughing, as-well as cheering and booing!.
