We got invited to brewers Fayre, Derwent crossing for indoor play.

Indoor area:

When asked to come along and review brewers Fayre, I was super excited to take the girls along, as growing up, we used to always attend the same building for food and indoor play when it was bruster bears and then for a Sunday carvery when it was Taybarns.

We parked outside the building which was free parking. As you walked in, you could vision those childhood moments. The staff greeted us on arrival and walked us over to the soft-play area.

You can pay on arrival, however I would suggest pre-booking over the phone for busier periods.

The price of the soft-play is £3.50 which I find reasonable and within a good price range compared from some soft-play prices these days. Also kids under 1 years old play FREE!.

They play area offers an 120 minutes play, Play sessions are open all week: 12-2pm | 2:45-7pm.

These sessions are put in place with COVID restrictions as they have had to reduce their play frame capacity between sessions for 45 minutes for deep cleaning.

The girls loved playing on the soft-play. I felt like their favourite part was the slide, they were constantly up and down it, they enjoyed interacting with the other kids after not being able to do so for so long.

They also loved the jigsaw bit too.

Brewers Fayre are working on a new programme and scheme to develop their indoor play area.

Toddler time:

Toddler time is coming November 2nd, every Tuesday from 9:30-11:30. Children up to the age of 4 years old can access the soft-play area with their supervised adult for £4. This includes the child’s entry fee to a morning of fun but also bottomless coffee for the adult which is often well needed.

Snacks and food:

The indoor play area they have a snack station to keep the kids during playtime with a range of soft drinks, including slushes. They also have crisps, chocolate and much more.

You can also order food from the snack station and have your food brought into the tables within the play area, which is really handy.

We purchased food whilst there since they had great offers on which are reasonably priced and would not put you out of pocket at all.

On a weekday, 2 mains are £8.99, you can see above what they have to offer. It would be classed as good old pub grub to us, which you can’t go wrong with, I love a good lasagne or fish and chips.

We picked the chicken tikka curry which came with rice and nan bread. The curry was delicious, we even added in poppadoms and chutney for an extra 49p.

Roxy loves a good curry too, so she was dipping her chips into ours so I shared it with her. Things you’ve got to do to keep the little ones happy.

The girls also had food, the kids menu offer a 3 course meal for £4.99.

Summa ordered pizza as usual, she had chips and beans with hers. And Roxy ordered the fish bites with chips and beans, the fish bites were really good too.

The meal came to under £20 for two adults and two children, which is really affordable and the food is to good quality and we really enjoyed it.

I really recommend a visit here for your rainy day ideas or even to waste a few hours after school with the kids, help burn some fuel.

They also have events coming up too:
