May Half Term – Things to do & What’s on.

May half term is coming up at the end of the month, and at least this one we can actually plan and book things to do.

There may still be some restrictions and rules in place, but least things are lifting a little more. Please remember to try book in advance to save disappointment as due to capacity, there may be limited tickets/space.

Saturday 22 May – FREE chalk event from 11.30am – 3.30pm at Discovery Museum.

Tuesday 1st June – Prebook your tickets – Still Life Painting for Families at The Shipley Art Gallery.

Tuesday 1st June – Put £5 deposit down to book for teddy’s bear picnic at Natures Edge.

Wednesday 2nd June – FREE Robot Block Party 11am – 3pm at Discovery Museum.

Wednesday 2nd June – Fun foodies cookery classes – junior sessions. 1:30pm-3pm at St Marys Parish Hall centre. Click here.

Thursday 3rd June – Prebook your tickets – Happiness Drawing Day event with artist Elizabeth Kane at The Shipley art gallery.

Brockbushes Fun Zone:

Brockbushes have announced that their Carnival Rides are bringing the Kids Fun Zone back this May.

Unlimited Rides, Bouncy Castles, Crazy Golf, Giant Slides, Garden Games and much more for children to enjoy for just £7.99 per session per child, adults charged at 50p (booking fees apply).

Live Dinosaurs will be doing meet and greets intervals daily (Excludes toddler days) and the nesting dinosaur eggs will be on show which will be hatching very soon.

On selected days they will also be visited by Animals About Town Petting Farm (31st May & 1st June) and a Live Bubbleologist! (5th & 6th June).

Delve deep into nature this May Half Term and unearth your wilderness skills with Alnwick gardens.

Raby castle:

If you go down to Raby this half term, you’re in for a big surprise.

This May Half Term raby castle is bringing your favourite Teddy Bear with you for a picnic in the Deer Park, and explore the Teddy Bear’s Picnic trail through the Walled Gardens.

The trail is included with general admission and picnics are available to pre-order when you book your tickets online.
